A scenic journey of discovery starting in Cape Town, meandering along the stunning Cape Town Garden Route and ending in Port Elizabeth. This escorted tour includes all the main highlights of this spectacular western cape. If time permits why not add an additional 2 nights big five safari experience at a splendid game lodge in either Kruger or Addo Elephant National Park.

- Day 1 Arrive in Cape Town
On arrival at Cape Town International Airport, you will be met by Our representative and escorted comfortably to your centrally located hotel (check in after 14h00 hrs). The rest of the afternoon and evening is free to explore Cape Town at leisure.
The hotel is situated on the vibrant historic Green Market Square, which has many stalls offering a wide variety of clothing and art and crafts from all over Africa. The cobbled stoned square is surrounded by al fresco eateries and is always bustling with people. Spend some time soaking up the lively atmosphere of this colourful market.
Cape Town’s famous Long Street, centre of the city’s nightlife, is just around the corner and offers an endless stretch of bars, restaurants and night life hot spots.
Alternatively the V&A Waterfront is just a short drive away from the hotel and offers an abundant variety of restaurants, shops and entertainment to suit all tastes and age groups. The setting is spectacular, with Table Mountain forming the backdrop to this lively, cosmopolitan attraction.

- Day 2 Cape Town: City tour
Today clients will be taken on a half day City Orientation Tour. Set against the spectacular backdrop of Table Mountain, Cape Town is rich in historical and cultural heritage and natural beauty. Some of the highlight stops on this tour will be the Company Gardens, the Castle of Good Hope and the lively Greenmarket Square where they can purchase arts and crafts from all over Africa. They will also take a trip through the colourful Bo Kaap area, known as the home of the Cape Malay's and then we take a trip up Cape Towns landmark, Table Mountain (weather permitting & own account). The remainder of the day will be spent at leisure at the vibrant V&A Waterfront, which offers a wide variety of shops, restaurants and entertainment. We recommend having dinner in this exciting setting!

- Day 3 Cape Town: Cape Point & Peninsula Tour
After breakfast we head out for a full day tour of the scenic Cape Peninsula. Travel along the Atlantic Seaboard to Hout Bay, passing magnificent beaches and the coastal suburbs of Clifton, Camps Bay and Llandadno. From Hout Bay Harbour you have the option of a boat trip to Duiker Island (for your own account), to see the thousands of Cape Fur Seals living on this rocky outcrop. Hout Bay Harbour is a busy fishing harbour sure to keep you entertained and your cameras snapping. Browse for souvenirs at the Hout Bay Craft Market or take a walk on the beach and paddle your feet in the sea.
The tour continues over Chapman’s Peak, known as one of the most spectacular scenic drives in the world, all the way along the Peninsula to the most southern tip at Cape Point. An invigorating walk takes you to the two lighthouses at the top and bottom of the headland, from where you will enjoy extraordinary views of the cliffs and the ocean below. Alternatively you could take a short funicular ride to the top (for your own account). Take a photo down at the most south western point of the African continent at the Cape of Good Hope beach.
Lunch will be enjoyed at a seaside restaurant (for your own account) before we make our way along the False Bay coastline to the Naval village of Simon’s Town. We will visit the delightful African Penguins of Boulders Beach and then the drive takes us back via Cape Town’s coastal and southern suburbs for a final stop at the beautiful Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens

- Day 4 Cape Town to Oudtshoorn
Today we travel to Oudtshoorn in the Klein Karoo via the scenic Route 62, known as the longest Wine Route in the world. The drive meanders through majestic mountains and river valleys, over scenic passes and passes picturesque vineyards and orchards. We will stop en route at the fascinating little towns of Barrydale and Montague.
On arrival in Oudtshoorn, the ‘Ostrich capital’ we will visit an Ostrich Farm for a tour to learn more about these flightless birds and the history of their farming in the area. You will even have to the opportunity to sit on or ride an ostrich if you are brave enough!
Check-in at the hotel in the late afternoon and there will be time to relax and freshen up before dinner.

- Day 5 Oudtshoornto The Crags
Today after breakfast we will take a scenic 30 minute drive to the Cango Caves to explore thisfascinatingnetwork of limestone rock formations. Experienced cave guides will take you through the caves on an easy hour long tour where you will get to know more about how these caves were formed, discovered and explored.
We continue over the spectacular Outeniqua Mountain Pass to one of South Africa’s favourite towns, Knysna. This town lies nestled on the banks of a beautiful lagoon in the heart of the Garden Route and is known for its oysters. Spend some leisure time exploring the Knysna waterfront with its array of interesting shops and restaurants before proceeding to The Crags near Plettenberg Bay. Embark on an informative cruise up the Keurbooms River before arriving at your lodge where you shall spend the next two nights. Freshen up before dinner at the lodge.

- Day 6 The Crags
After breakfast, get up-close-and-personal with nature at the Elephant Sanctuary. The visit presents you with the opportunity to touch, feed and photograph these gentle giants.Things to do and places to visit:
After lunch (for your own account), visit Birds of Eden – the largest free-flight bird aviary in the world. Optional: Whale & Dolphin boat experience (weather & time permitting; not included) before returning to the lodge

- Day 7 The Crags to Port Elizabeth
After breakfast and check-out formalities, journey along the final leg of the Garden Route to the beautiful Tsitsikamma National Park. Enjoy a walk along the suspension bridge across the Storms River mouth gorge which offers visitors incredible views and photo opportunities. The tour ends in Port Elizabeth at approximately 18h00 with drop-off at your hotel in Port Elizabeth.

- Day 8 Departure Add-on Linger Longer Safari
After breakfast, clients will be transferred to Port Elizabeth International Airport to connect with their outbound flight
Clients opting for the Linger Longer Safari experience will be transferred via road to either Addo or Kruger Region. Clients travelling to the Kruger will need to fly via OR Tambo Johannesburg International Airport to connect with the flight to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport, Nelspruit.
Once at the lodge, clients will spend the rest of the day at leisure. In the late afternoon you will be taken for a sunset game drive before dinner.
