  1. Day 1 Arrive in Cape Town. City tour

    On arrival at Cape Town International Airport, you will be met by Our representative and escorted comfortably to your centrally located hotel.
    Depart on an afternoon half day City Orientation Tourto learn all about Cape Town’s rich history and vibrant cultures. Some of the highlight stops will be the beautiful Company Gardens and the Castle of Good Hope, a historical fort which is the oldest building in the country. You will also visit the colourful Bo Kaap area, previously known as the Malay Quarter, situated on the slopes of Signal Hill this is the spiritual home of Cape Town’s Muslim community.
    We then take a trip up Cape Town’s landmark and one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, Table Mountain. A 5-minute cableway ride takes you to the top of the mountain from where you will enjoy uninterrupted views over the city bowl and across the peninsula. * Please note, this activity is weather permitting & for your own account.
    We recommend you spend the rest of the evening and enjoy dinner at the V&A Waterfront,which offers an abundant variety of restaurants, shops and entertainment to suit all tastes and age groups. The setting is spectacular, with Table Mountain forming the backdrop to this lively, cosmopolitan attraction.

  2. Day 2 Cape Town: Cape Point & Peninsula Tour

    After breakfast we head out for a full day tour of the scenic Cape Peninsula. Travel along the Atlantic Seaboard to Hout Bay, passing magnificent beaches and the coastal suburbs of Clifton, Camps Bay and Llandadno. From Hout Bay Harbour you have the option of a boat trip to Duiker Island (for your own account), to see the thousands of Cape Fur Seals living on this rocky outcrop. Hout Bay Harbour is a busy fishing harbour sure to keep you entertained and your cameras snapping. Browse for souvenirs at the Hout Bay Craft Market or take a walk on the beach and paddle your feet in the sea.
    The tour continues over Chapman’s Peak, known as one of the most spectacular scenic drives in the world, all the way along the Peninsula to the most southern tip at Cape Point. An invigorating walk takes you to the two lighthouses at the top and bottom of the headland, from where you will enjoy extraordinary views of the cliffs and the ocean below. Alternatively you could take a short funicular ride to the top (for your own account). Take a photo down at the most south western point of the African continent at the Cape of Good Hope beach.
    Lunch will be enjoyed at a seaside restaurant (for your own account) before we make our way along the False Bay coastline to the Naval village of Simon’s Town. We will visit the delightful African Penguins of Boulders Beach and then the drive takes us back via Cape
    Town’s coastal and southern suburbs for a final stop at the beautiful Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens.

  3. Day 3 Cape Town: Cape Winelands Tour

    Today you will be taken on a full day tour of the Cape Winelands and will visit 3 or 4 estates to taste some of South Africa’s finest wines and perhaps experience a cellar tour to learn how they are made.
    After a short 30 minute drive from the city you will find yourselves in the heart of the Winelands, surrounded by majestic mountains, beautiful vineyards and typical Cape Dutch style architecture.
    The first stop is the town of Stellenbosch, the second oldest in South Africa, lined with oak trees and steeped in history. You will have some free time to explore the interesting shops and fascinating museums of the town before visiting the first wine estate for a tasting and perhaps a chocolate and wine pairing.
    We then continue through the beautiful Cape Winelands for a second tasting and then over a spectacular mountain pass to the charming Gourmet Capital of South Africa - Franschhoek. Nestled in the magnificent Franschhoek Valley, this is also one of South Africa’s oldest towns whose name translates to “French Corner”, a reminder of its origins when the French Huguenots settled here in the late 1600s. Most of the world renowned wine estates still hold their original French names.Franschhoek is home to several of the country’s top restaurants and award winning chefs, so you will be spoilt for choice when it comes to deciding on your lunch venue.
    After lunch we make our way to the town of Paarl, set at the foot of a remarkable granitic rock outcrop, for a final wine tasting before making our way back to Cape Town.

  4. Day 4 Cape Town to Swellendam

    Morning departure from Cape Town over the Hottentots-Holland Mountains via Sir Lowry’s Pass into a region of immense beauty. Stop at the Hamilton Russell Vineyards near Hermanus for a tour & tasting of the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley terroir driven wines. During whale season (June to December), also stop in Hermanus which boasts the best land based whale watching along its cliff path. Here you would have the option of embarking on an eco-marine (all year round) and whale watching (seasonal) boat trip (additional charge). After lunch (to own account), continue to Swellendam – the third oldest settlement in South Africa. Dinner is enjoyed at the hotel restaurant.   5. Day 5 Swellendam to Plettenberg Bay

    After a leisurely breakfast, depart Swellendam and enjoy your journey along the Garden Route via Mossel Bay. Travel to Plettenberg Bay – millionaires’ playground for lunch and a stroll along the white sandy beaches. Check into your accommodation during the afternoon. Dinner is enjoyed at the lodge.

  6. Day 6 Plettenberg Bay

    After breakfast, get up-close-and-personal with nature at the Elephant Sanctuary. The visit presents you with the opportunity to touch, feed and photograph these gentle giants. After lunch (to own account), travel to the Tsitsikamma National Park. Described as the ‘garden of the Garden Route’, the Tsitsikamma actually deserves a more vivid description to encapsulate the beauty of the place. Enjoy a walk along the suspension bridge across the Storms River mouth gorge which offers visitors incredible views and photo opportunities. Spend some time at leisure in the town of Plettenberg Bay – ‘millionaires’ playground’ – before returning to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

  7. Day 7 PettenbergBay to Oudtshoorn via Knysna

    Morning departure from Plettenberg Bay to the lagoon-side town of Knysna – gem of the Garden Route. Embark on an excursion to the Featherbed Nature Reserve which is located on the western Knysna Head. The trip includes a ferry across the lagoon to the base of the western head, a drive to the top of the reserve and an optional 2.2 kilometre downhill nature trail walk. The tour ends with a delicious lunch served under the shade of the milkwood trees. On return to the mainland, continue your journey to Oudtshoorn.

  8. Departure Departure

    Before departing Oudtshoorn enjoy a morning visit to the Cango Caves – one of the natural wonders of the world and which has become a major draw-card to the Karoo area. Travel along the famous Route 62 to Cape Town. The ever changing colours of the majestic mountains, scenic passes, rivers, vineyards and orchards offer you an unforgettable kaleidoscope of scenic tranquility. Stop at the Country Pumpkin Restaurant near Barrydale for lunch (to own account). After lunch, enjoy a slow drive to Cape Town where your tour ends around 18h00 with drop-off at Cape Town International Airport or your Cape Town based hotel.
